Integrated data to optimize drug use
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and Prime apply machine learning across integrated, end-to-end data from the pharmacy benefit (e.g., oral tablets) and medical benefit (e.g., IV drug infusions) to identify non-optimized drug use. Then, specialized pharmacists reach out to providers to recommend drug therapy optimization. Following pharmacist intervention, Prime provides reporting showing hard dollar savings. HighTouchRx helps identify and provide access to actionable, high-cost savings opportunities. Each savings opportunity ensures rebates remain unimpacted and member cost sharing does not increase.
