Managed Healthcare Executive recognizes Prime/Magellan Rx employee as emerging leader
Prerak Parikh, PharmD, director of specialty clinical solutions at Prime Therapeutics/Magellan Rx Management, is named among 13 national 2024 Emerging Leaders in Healthcare Award recipients
August 7, 2024Prime Therapeutics/Magellan Rx Management (Prime/Magellan Rx) is proud to announce that Prerak Parikh, PharmD, director of specialty clinical solutions at Prime/Magellan Rx, was recently named among 13 nationwide recipients of the 2024 Emerging Leaders in Healthcare Award from Managed Healthcare Executive.
This annual award recognizes health care leaders who are “paving the way for the future of their organizations, for [health care] and for others seeking to make a difference in the industry,” according to Managed Healthcare Executive.
“I am honored to be among the innovative, forward-thinking individuals recognized with this award,” Parikh said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work in medical drug management and shape clinical strategy for our health plan clients to strive to provide the same care we would want for our loved ones.”
As one of the youngest members of the team, Parikh demonstrates leadership through strategic thinking in an evolving health care landscape, fostering collaboration and driving results.
With Prerak’s leadership, his team was able to deliver millions in savings to health plan clients through various clinical programs. Parikh has successfully navigated the complex regulatory landscape and developed strategies to support large regional health plan clients with unique utilization management and biosimilar strategies, reimbursement approaches and novel oncology management solutions. He also currently serves as a preceptor and program coordinator for the Prime/Magellan Rx PGY1 Managed Care Residency Program.
