Prime named 2021 Minnesota Women Lawyers Leadership Award recipient

Minnesota Women Lawyers (MWL) presented Prime Therapeutics with the MWL Leadership Award at its recent 49th Annual Meeting. This annual award recognizes a Minnesota legal employer that strives to enhance the status, influence and effectiveness of women lawyers.

Prime is committed to advancing the success of women in the legal department in a variety of ways:

• Prime’s legal leadership team of five includes three women, all of whom have been promoted multiple times during their employment with Prime, and two of whom are company officers and members of Prime’s senior leadership team
• Three of the nine lawyers in the legal department are women and nine of the 18 employees in the department are women
• Effective Jan. 1, 2021, Prime’s legal department implemented a policy intended to hold its law firm vendors directly accountable to Prime for their efforts toward driving greater diversity, equity and inclusion among the attorneys who represent Prime

The MWL Leadership Award recognition is an extension of Prime’s overall commitment to women throughout its organization. Prime recruits and hires women at all levels of the company and participated in outreach efforts that increased female candidates by nearly 20% from 2019 to 2020.
