Prime Therapeutics (Prime) is proud to have an ASHP-accredited, postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) residency program for early-career pharmacists to develop a firsthand understanding of medical and pharmacy benefit integration and strategy with a focus on specialty drug management.  

The program was an important part of Prime’s presence at the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Annual Meeting in Houston, where the next generation of managed care pharmacy professionals were able to gain critical experience and exposure alongside thousands of other health care industry professionals.  

This year, two Prime residents, Almina Gomez, PharmD, and Kathryn Makay, PharmD, presented their respective posters, “Medication Adherence in Myasthenia Gravis: Exploring Patient Characteristics and Treatment,” and “Treatment Journey of Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Macular Edema Patients: Analyzing Bevacizumab Persistence and Therapy Switching.”
