READ: Mandatory sensitivity labels begin Nov. 14
At Prime Therapeutics (Prime), protecting the privacy of clients and members is a top priority. Starting Nov. 14, 2024, all Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) that are sent from or accessed through Prime will require sensitivity labels. This added layer of protection helps secure Protected Health Information (PHI) and other confidential information. This new requirement will apply to both new and existing files.
Why is Prime enabling this now?
Prime has seen a significant increase in the number of files stored that contain member data. Because of this increase, we’re taking proactive steps to more efficiently identify, manage and protect sensitive data.
As a result, beginning Nov. 14, if you receive a file from Prime that contains confidential and/or PHI information and a sensitivity data label, you may need to have an extra layer of access.
Accessing files with sensitivity labels
In the event you do not have access, you will need to contact your account manager to request a ‘PHI role’ on your behalf to gain access to files that have a designated confidential and/or PHI sensitivity label.
