Prime Therapeutics/Magellan Rx Management (Prime/Magellan Rx) is proud to announce that Prerak Parikh, PharmD, director of specialty clinical solutions at Prime/Magellan Rx, was recently named among 14 nationwide recipients of the 2024 Emerging Leaders in Healthcare Award from Managed Healthcare Executive.

This annual award recognizes health care leaders who are “paving the way for the future of their organizations, for [health care] and for others seeking to make a difference in the industry,” according to Managed Healthcare Executive.

“I am honored to be among the innovative, forward-thinking individuals recognized with this award,” Parikh said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work in medical drug management and shape clinical strategy for our health plan clients to strive to provide the same care we would want for our loved ones.”

As one of the youngest members of the team, Parikh demonstrates leadership through strategic thinking in an evolving health care landscape, fostering collaboration and driving results.

With Prerak’s leadership, his team was able to deliver millions in savings to health plan clients through various clinical programs. Parikh has successfully navigated the complex regulatory landscape and developed strategies to support large regional health plan clients with unique utilization management and biosimilar strategies, reimbursement approaches and novel oncology management solutions. He also currently serves as a preceptor and program coordinator for the Prime/Magellan Rx PGY1 Managed Care Residency Program.

“Prerak continues to be an impressive key player in driving value for our clients and the entire organization through insightful clinical innovation and strategies, with member and provider-centric approaches,” said Kristen Reimers, RPh, senior vice president of specialty clinical solutions. “He is a forever-curious and true leader within our industry.”

Parikh was recognized on the cover of the August 2024 issue of Managed Healthcare Executive, as well as in a feature story on page 19.
