Prime Therapeutics employees give back through volunteer event
Through PrimeCares, employees recently packed more than 2,000 snack packs for Minnesota nonprofit Matter
Food insecurity isn’t only a financial and emotional issue — it’s a health concern. According to the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families, households experiencing food insecurity spend 45% more on medical care each year than those with reliable access to food.
Last month, Prime Therapeutics (Prime) employees from across the country aimed to address the issue of food insecurity by giving back through PrimeCares, the company’s corporate giving program. Together, employees worked together to pack snack packs for Minnesota-based nonprofit organization Matter — a 2024 Prime Together Foundation grant recipient. Employees had the option to gather at Prime’s corporate headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota, or have kits sent to their home to pack.
In just two hours, employees packed 57 boxes — each filled with 40 kits — for a total of 2,280 snack packs. Remote employees packed their kits at home and donated them to local charities in their area.
“Volunteering is a great way to give back to our community while also building culture and camaraderie at Prime,” said Erin Feigal, chief human resources officer at Prime. “Together, we are proud to support our communities to promote better health for all.”
